US - The 2015 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) will host a variety of cooking demonstrations and a student culinary arts competition in the Cuttin’ Up & Cookin’ Booth, B8641.

Chicken, turkey, pork, beef and egg products will be featured, so plan to stop by for some enjoyable chef interaction and entertainment. A summary of the demonstrations is available below.

Eggs, Anytime!

Tuesday 27 January 2015: 10:30am

Internationally renowned cooking artist, Howard Helmer, will demonstrate unique cooking methods and recipes for eggs. Mr Helmer is recognised in the Guinness Book of World Records as the fastest omelette-maker!

Specialty Cuts and Recipes – The Latest in Pork and Beef

Tuesday 27 January 2015: 1:00pm (beef) and 3:00pm (pork)

Steve Olson and Chef Francesco Abbinanti C.E.C. will demonstrate and prepare the latest trends in cuts of meat products for creating convenient meals.

Mr Olson served as an advisor for the North American Meat Association’s (NAMA) standards and specifications and served as livestock and meat marketing specialist for the Agriculture Marketing Service in Washington, D.C.

Chef Abbananti, area chef for Levy Restaurants, is a restaurant veteran of more than 25 years. He brings exemplary international culinary excellence and food-service business experience. He served as executive chef of Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Walt Disney Cruise Line before developing his restaurant concept in 2001 and then selling his company in 2007.

Creations with Chicken and Tantalising Turkey Tips

Wednesday 28 January 2015: 11:00am (chicken) and 2:00pm (turkey)

Chef Jacques Roosenbrand, a former restaurant owner in Amsterdam and current manager and chef for Marel’s DemoCenter, will share the stage with Jill Anderson, manager of Marel’s Innovation Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Together, they will share new ideas for serving up new chicken main course ideas and proving that turkey is not just for Thanksgiving.

Culinary Arts Students Cooking Contest

Thursday 29 January 2015: 10:00am

The USPOULTRY Foundation and The Hospitality and Education Foundation of Georgia have teamed up to bring together local high school culinary arts students, who will compete in cutting and preparing a dish from a whole chicken. Awards will be presented to the top three individuals selected by locally renowned chef judges. An awards ceremony will follow the competition and will take place around 2:00pm
