VFD Seminar Agenda Announced for 2016 IPPE

US - The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) will host a Veterinary Feed Directive (VFD) seminar on Jan. 26, 2016, as part of the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta, Georgia.

The two-hour session will cover changes made to the VFD rule in spring 2014 and describe the challenges industry can expect moving forward.

The seminar is ideal for feed industry personnel responsible for handling VFDs and those interested in learning what to do with old animal drug premixes after the policy goes into effect in January 2017.

“Changes to the Veterinary Feed Directive and animal drugs used in human medicine have been very complicated for many in the feed industry,” said Mr Sellers. “AFIA is striving to make this transition as smooth as possible by providing assistance for our members and the industry to stay one step ahead of FDA proposed changes.”
