CANADA - The Canadian Pork Council (CPC) would like to congratulate Hylife Foods on being recognized by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) as one of the winners of the 2017 Employer Awards for Newcomer Employment.

HyLife received the award for their work to help newcomers to Canada find and retain jobs and enhance their employment skills. Neepawa Settlement Services, a local community organization that provides assistance to people who are learning to live in a new country nominated HyLife Foods for the award.

"This recognition is well-deserved," says Council Chair Rick Bergmann. "The Canadian Pork Council, and indeed, the entire Canadian pork industry, has been a major beneficiary of HyLife's contribution as a producer, processor and community leader. We are pleased that HyLife's Claude Vielfaure is a member of the CPC's Board of Directors."

Providing Canadians and global customers with access to ready supplies of wholesome, high-quality pork requires a tremendous commitment from skilled workers all along the pork value chain. The combination of our collective efforts has resulted in the Canada becoming a world leader in sustainable hog production.
