NPA is active on members' behalf in Brussels & White-hall, and with pro-cessors, supermarkets & caterers – fighting for the growth and pros-perity of the UK pig industry. |
Leeds Veterinary Laboratories, a private commercial veterinary diagnostic company, are providing laboratory services for the project, which is being led by Warwick University and is jointly funded by Defra and MLC.
Leeds Veterinary Laboratories will carry out blood tests for a range of pig viruses, plus detailed post mortem examinations of affected animals, from 140 randomly selected farms in England and Wales.
The project is expected to take a year to complete.
