Gamithromycin is the active principle of ZACTRAN® which isnow approved for use in pigs.

ZACTRAN has been proven to target a number of bacteria involved in swine respiratory disease in pigs such as Actinobacillus pleuropneumonia (App) and Haemophilius parasuis (Hps).

The active ingredient Gamithromycin has been shown to have a high concentration in lung tissue just a few hours after injection, meaning it has a high killing concentration.
