Print This Page Meat Hygiene Service Strike Action Deferred by Unison
UK - Meat Hygiene Service inspectors will be at work at meat plants this week after threatened strike was called off.It had been feared that abattoirs across the country would be forced to close because of planned action by Unison members.
But the strike was deferred late on Friday (31 March) evening.
A statement by the trade union said: “The action has been deferred to allow the best chance for a successful resolution of the dispute.”
