Quarterly hogs and pigs data due out Friday
US - The United States Department of Agriculture is scheduled to issue the Quarterly Hogs and Pigs report Friday, June 30 at 2 PM Central.Analysts expect all U.S. hogs and pigs as of June 1 to be at 100.9% of a year ago, in a range of 100.4% to 101.4%. Hogs kept for marketing are pegged at 101.3%, with a range of 100% to 102%. The range of estimates for hogs kept for breeding runs from 100% to 101.5%, with an average of 100.9%.
The March to May pig crop is seen at 101.3%, in a range of 101% to 101.8%. March to May pigs per litter are estimated at 100% to 101%, with an average of 100.6%. Farrowings for March to May are pegged at 100.7%, in a range of 100% to 101.3%. June to August farrowing intentions are expected to be between 100% and 101%, with an average of 100.7%. September to November farrowing intentions are forecast at 100.9%, in a range of 100% to 102%.
