UK - Hull-based Cranswick Lazenby’s has won the contract to supply Sainsbury’s with fresh organic pork for the supermarket’s SO Organic range.

Matt Johnson, organic meat buyer for Sainsbury’s states: “We are delighted to extend our working relationship with Cranswick Lazenby’s. Like Sainsbury’s, the company is focused on innovation, quality and service and the products are extremely good!”

Sainsbury’s SO organic fresh pork will be on sale for Organic Fortnight (2nd September – 17th September). Look out for boneless loin steaks, tenderloin fillet, and plain and flavoured sausages.

This pork supplied by Cranswick Lazenby’s complies with the Soil Association Organic Standards to ensure that customers can be completely happy that the pork they are eating is truly organic. The pigs’ welfare is paramount and there are strict guidelines with regards to stock density, housing and handling to ensure the pigs have a happy and stress-free lifestyle.
