Print This Page U.S. Pork Highly Regarded By Australian Food Experts
US - U.S. frozen and processed pork products were promoted to the Australian market Sept. 11-14 at Fine Food Australia 2006 in Melbourne.
At the event, the U.S. Meat Export Federation used a booth in the U.S. pavilion to showcase products like bacon and ham to more than 30,000 attendees, many of whom gave the U.S. products high marks.
Through July 2006, the United States exported about 13,781 metric tons of pork and pork variety meat to Australia, worth more than $32.1 million.
