Print This Page Russia lifts ban on meat, dairy product deliveries from Brazil
RUSSIA - As of December 11 Russia has lifted the ban on the importation of industrially manufactured and heat-treated meat and dairy products from Brazil. Simultaneously it banned deliveries of pig meat from a U.S. meat packaging company for free sale.The Agriculture Ministry press service reports quoting Rosselkhoznadzor oversight authority that meat and dairy products can be imported from all of Brazil including the states of Mato Grosso do Sul and Parana. Imports had been banned after Brazil registered foot-and- mouth disease.
Rosselkhoznadzor also reported that M Premium Standard Farms No. 320 has been dropped from the list of U.S. pig meat slaughterhouses and packing plants certified for pork deliveries for free sale and transferred to the list of facilities certified for pork deliveries for industrial use.
