Dr Carlos Peralta, recently with PIC as Managing Director of Latin America, sees an opportunity to build upon JSR’s established name and commitment to grow their business in the Americas. “The global processors operating in these markets are always looking for improvements to carcase quality through genetic developments. JSR grandparent lines are well suited to these markets and people are looking for a fresh approach and new genetics. There are 8 million sows in North America and 4 million in South America, the market is huge but we will take our development step by step”
