CHINA - The Chinese government has taken various measures to check growing pork prices, which have jumped rapidly since last month. A wide range of measures have helped to bring some stability to the prices. |
Since May, the government has been pushing farmers to raise more pigs, and urging pig sellers to reduce their stocks. All this, in a bid to ensure a constant pork supply.
Meanwhile, the National Development and Reform Commission is keeping a close eye on prices of pork and other necessities.
