EU - Now, at mid-September, pressure is clearly being exerted on the European pigs-mature-for-slaughter market.For seasonal reasons, the quantities of pigs mature for slaughter is increasing in all countries, thus being less placeable than before in matters of time. Germany, France and Spain are the first ones to give clear markdowns this week. Belgium, Austria and the Netherlands are following right away.
Quotations reported about from Denmark and Sweden, however, continue to be steady or do even increase. Altogether, the European quotations are observed to close ranks much more considerably now, ranging by about 5 cents for the most part.
Another burden put on the pig market is currently found in the increasing number of sows mature for slaughter in many EU member countries.
