Zhongpin Presents at the 4th IMS World Pork Conference, Receives Two Awards
CHINA - Zhongpin Inc, a leading Chinese meat and food processing company presented a paper at the 4th IMS World Pork Conference in Nanjing, last week.The company was also honoured as the ''Top Contributor to the Chinese Meat Industry'' during the conference which was attended by delegates from across the world.
Zhongpin's CEO, Mr. Xianfu Zhu, was also named as one of ''The Most Influential People in the Chinese Meat Industry.''
The awards are designed to encourage the modernisation of the meat industry and to reward enterprises and entrepreneurs who make significant contributions to increasing the quality and standards of the Chinese meat products and industry processes.
The conference, organised by the International Meat Secretariat (IMS) and hosted by the China Meat Association, was one of the world's largest pork industry conferences. It attracted more than 800 delegates from influential companies and industry associations covering 38 countries. The key issues discussed during the event were co-operation among China and international markets, competition within the meat industry, global trade policy, new technologies, opportunities in global trade and continued globalisation of the meat industry.
