Print This Page Russian Import Quotas Set
RUSSIA - Russia has given the go ahead to the import of 493,500 tonnes of pork from 380 companies for the coming year.In setting the new tariff rate quotas, the Russian authorities will also allow the import of 28,000 tonnes of pork trimmings. This will also be distributed between 380 companies, but there has been no allocation of limits to particular countries.
For pork imports, however, the EU will take the bulk of the imports with 249,300 tonnes. The US will be allowed 48,900 tonnes and Paraguay 1,000 tonnes. The remaining 193,400 tonnes will come from other countries.
