Cherkizovo Pig Sales Double after Expansion
12 August 2008RUSSIA - Cherkizovo Group pork division sales volume rose 92 per cent in the first half of this year.
OJSC Cherkizovo Group explained that its capacity has been increased as the result of the first two modules at the Lipetsk pig breeding and growing facility coming on stream.
This has helped to raise sales volume in the pork division by 92 percent in the first six months of 2008 to about 20,000 tonnes, reports Forbes sourced from Thomson Financial News.
Sales volumes in the meat-processing segment increased 2 percent to about 71,800 tonnes, the company said.
