EU Pig Prices: High Level Price Stability

EU - The demand-and-offer scenario at the European slaughter pig market seems to be balanced this week. At the moment, no clear trend appears in Europe, so at present, it is somewhat impossible to foresee any autumn low.

The Spanish price could hold itself with corrected 1.73 EUR/kg SG for the 7th time in a row. The Danish and the Swedish price for slaughter pigs rose to around corrected 3 and/or 2 cents. In the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, slaughter pig prices sank around corrected 2 to 3 cents. In these three countries, price that rose from the previous week had to be corrected again.
