Print This Page EU Pig Prices: Trend Points to Stability
EU - The price history at the European slaughter pig market has extended in the current calendar week.
However, altogether the trend points to increasing stability. That the German quotation remained unchanged despite the solid pressure of the red side and missing battle tags on the day of the German unit is a positive signal for all of Europe. Denmark's and Austria's prices were also stable. In France, a some optimism is to be felt. In Belgium, the price rose over +2.5 cents.
The Netherlands deviate from the German price statement. The export of Dutch slaughter pigs to Germany have become more attractive. For the fourth time, Spain suffers the consequences of the autumn depression.
Trend: Altogether the trend at the European pigs-mature-for-slaughter market is in a state of balance as far as demand and supply is concerned.
