China Lifts Ban on Polish Products
POLAND - Polish Market Online reports that Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao has told visiting Polish Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, that his country is lifting a ban on the imports of food from Poland.Donald Tusk underlined that this mainly concerns pork. However, Chinese politicians say they are ready to purchase Polish mining machines and launch cooperation on coal exploitation. ‘We want to take care of the climate in such way that environment protection does not become a painful burden to coal-based industrial cultures’ Polish PM Donald Tusk noted.
‘I pledged an informal partnership on research and implementation of new technologies, more environment-friendly coal-usage and political partnership, as under to the Kyoto Protocol China and Poland share the same climate-related problems’ Tusk said.
According to Tusk, the talks held in Beijing have shown that China regards Poland as one of its top partners. ‘No one has doubts in China that Poland is the leader in this part of Europe’ he said.
