Print This Page Ag Ministry Offers Three-Year Quota Deal
RUSSIA - The Ministry of Agriculture is offering a three-year meat import quota allocation.Aleksey Gordeev, the Minister of the Russian Federation, suggests passing to a three-year regime of import quota allocation for all meat types, reports Meat Russia, citing the press service of Minselkhoz.
Mr Gordeev considers that planning of meat import quota allocation procedure "will be effected for a three-year period (2010-2012)".
The meeting on import quota regulation for 2010 and further years was held on 29 January. Representatives of Russian Meat Union, Meat Suppliers' Union, Rosptitsesoyuz, National Meat Association, Russian Union of Pork Producers, Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and Association of Poultry Market Operators took part in the meeting.
