OIE Update on A/H1N1 Virus Outbreak in Norway

The veterinary authorities sent Follow-up report No.2 to the OIE on Friday (16 October).

One case of A/H1N1 has been reported in swine. The infected animal was removed from the susceptible population through death, destruction and/or slaughter.

Some of the control measures applied are:

1. Quarantine
2. Movement control inside the country
3. Screening
4. Vaccination prohibited
5. Treatment of affected animals (Antibiotic)
