Print This Page OIE Update on A/H1N1 Virus Outbreak in Norway
NORWAY - The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) continues to monitor the outbreak of the A/H1N1 outbreak in Norway.
The veterinary authorities sent Follow-up report No.2 to the OIE on Friday (16 October).
One case of A/H1N1 has been reported in swine. The infected animal was removed from the susceptible population through death, destruction and/or slaughter.
Some of the control measures applied are:
- Quarantine
- Movement control inside the country
- Screening
- Vaccination prohibited
- Treatment of affected animals (Antibiotic)
