Print This Page New Case of CSF in Wild Boar in Bulgaria
BULGARIA - A new outbreak of Classical Swine Fever in wild boar has been reported to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).
The Bulgarian veterinary authorities sent Follow-up Report No.3 to the OIE on Monday, 19 October. According to the report, the event pertains to the country as a whole.
A wild pig weighing about 40 kg was reported to be affected by the virus. The outbreak occured in Tutrakan, in the Silistra region.
The disease occured either through contact with infected animal(s) or contact with other wild species.
