Print This Page Swine Fevers Hit Russia Again
RUSSIA - Another wild board has been found dead from classical swine fever, and two more have died from African swine fever - all in different regions in the south-west of the country.
The Russian veterinary authority has sent Follow Up Report no. 2 to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), reporting the death of a wild boar from classical swine fever in Volgograd oblast a month ago.
OIE has also received Follow Up Report No 14, which describes how two more wild boar have been found dead from African swine fever in the last two weeks. One was in the Republic of Adygea and the other in Krasnodar Krai.
