Another Outbreak of ASF in Chad

CHAD - Another outbreak of African swine fever has been reported in the south-west of the country.

The veterinary authority sent Follow Up Report No. 1 dated 4 November to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).

The report describes one outbreak of ASF on a farm at Fianga in the region of Mabo Kebi Est (also known as West Mayo-Kebbi) in the south-west of the country, near the border with Cameroon. Eighty-one of the 414 pigs in the village died and the rest have since been destroyed.
