RUSSIA - Three more outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) have been reported in eastern Russia.

The veterinary authority has sent Follow Up Report No. 62 dated 8 July to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).

The report describes three new outbreaks of ASF between 10 June and 6 July. Two were on farms and one was in wild boar; two were in Tver Oblast and one in Krasnodar Krai. In total, 5,432 farmed pigs were involved, of which 37 showed symptoms, 29 animals died and 5,403 were destroyed. One wild boar also died.
