Two More Outbreaks of CSF in Western Russia

RUSSIA - Two more outbreaks of classical swine fever (CSF) have been reported in Vladimir oblast.

The veterinary authority sent Follow Up Report No. 7 dated 17 August to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).

The report describes two outbreaks of CSF, both in Vladimir oblast in western Russia.

The first outbreak was on a farm at 'Settlement Voyutino' on 15 July. Of the 81 pigs at the farm, 18 showed symptoms and three animals died.

The second outbreak started on 19 July at the village of Bol'shoe Borisovo. There, 30 wild boar were affected. Two animals died and the rest have been destroyed.
