RUSSIA - Two more outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) have been reported on pig farms in the region of Krasnodar Krai.

The veterinary authority sent Follow Up Report No. 68 dated 20 October to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).

The report outlines two new outbreaks of ASF in Krasnodar Krai. The first started on 11 October at the agroindustrial enterprise, Delma Co., in Slavyansky. Fourteen sows of a herd of 6.049 animals were affected. The second outbreak started on 14 October at the pig farm of the company Starominskoe in Starominskynd. There, 96 pigs of the herd of 2,183 showed symptoms; eight animals died and 2,175 were destroyed.
