CSF Outbreak in July Reported

RUSSIA - An outbreak of classical swine fever (CSF) has been reported in a village pig herd in July.

The veterinary authority sent Follow Up report No. 12 dated 25 October to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).

It describes an outbreak of CSF at the settlement of Voyutino in Vladimir Oblast in the western part of the country. The outbreak started in a village herd of a private subsidiary holding of 81 pigs on 15 July, and it affected 18 pigs, of which three died.
