Schleswig-Holstein Reports Brucellosis in Pigs

GERMANY - The German veterinary authorities have reported an outbreak of Brucellosis in the state of Schleswig-Holstein.

The OIE received an immediate notification on Wednesday, 9 November.

A total of 1020 pigs were found susceptible to the outbreak, out of which one case was identified. No deaths were recorded, and no animals were destroyed.

The source of the outbreak has not yet been resolved.
