Three ASF Outbreaks Reported in Russia

RUSSIA - The Russian veterinary authorities have reported further outbreaks of African swine fever in three regions - Kurskaya Oblast, Stavropolskiy Kray and Krasnodarskiy Kray.
The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no. 72 yesterday, 16 November wherein it was stated that three outbreaks took place.
According to the report, a total of 2676 pigs showed signs of susceptibility, out of which 53 cases were reported. A total of 47 deaths were recorded, and 2629 of the affected animals were destroyed.
The source of the outbreak has still not been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
