Sampling Detects More ASF in Ulyanovsk Region

African Swine Fever: Northern Hemisphere Jan 2010 to Feb 2012 - PROMED/HealthMap

RUSSIA - In its operation to combat African Swine Fever (ASF) in the Ulyanovsk region, the veterinary office conducted sampling of pigs and wild boars across the region.

Around 400 samples were taken and the results showed that positive cases of ASF were identified.

The sampling was carried out in nine districts (Nicholas, Sursky, Veshkaymsky, Kuzovatovsky, Ulyanovsk, Cherdaklinsky, Staromaynsky, Mainskaya, Pawlowski) of the region, at the following farms:
