RUSSIA - The Russian veterinary authorities have reported another outbreak of African swine fever in Volgogradskaya Oblast, affecting wild boar.

The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no. 79 yesterday, 21 February.

A total of 25 animals were found susceptible to the outbreak, out of which 9 cases were reported. The 9 affected animals were found dead. No animals were destroyed.

The source of the outbreak remains inconclusive.
