African Swine Fever Confirmed in Polish Wild Boar

POLAND - There has been one new outbreak of African Swine Fever reported and confirmed in the Podlaskie region in the east of the country.

The notified case of African Swine Fever was reported in a wild boar; the animal is dead.

The area in which the wild boar was found is already known as an infected area and under proper restrictions concerning African swine fever.

This area has been established in accordance with the European Union legislation - Commission Implementing Decision 2014/709/EU.

The source of the outbreak is still unknown.
