More ASF Reported in Russia

RUSSIA - Two new outbreaks of African Swine Fever (ASF) have been reported in the Volgogradskaya region of Russia.

In Zapolyansky, Danilovsky, two wild boars were shot and sent for testing. They were later confirmed as testing positive for ASF.

The other outbreak was discovered in Kozlovka, Rudnyansky, on a village farm. Sixteen pigs were confirmed as having ASF and nine deaths have been reported.

The source of the outbreak is unknown.
