Iowa Fights to Protect Family Farmers

DES MOINES - For more than 25 years, Iowa law forbade meatpackers from owning livestock out of concern that corporate-raised hogs and cattle would drive family farmers out of business and push up the price of steaks, bacon and pork chops.
