NPA is active on members' behalf in Brussels & White-hall, and with pro-cessors, supermarkets & caterers – fighting for the growth and pros-perity of the UK pig industry. |
Traffic Lights reports seven positive signals for sellers:
- NPA have agreed a price package with retailers, which guarantees no leading supermarket will cut the price it pays for British pork during January-February.
- Renewed strength of the Euro.
- Serious shortage of spot pigs.
- Little pigmeat in abattoir chillers.
- Slightly firmer AESA this week.
- Firmer prices on the continent as Aids to Provide Storage starts to impact.
- Few British pigs have been rolled.
