The event has speakers of international renown from 14 of the world’s major pork producing and consuming nations.
The congress normally costs 3450 plus VAT but for levy-payers, that has been reduced to 3400 plus VAT.
Discounts are also available for block booking. The two-day event, at the Birmingham International Convention Centre, is hosted by the British Pig Executive (BPEX), the Meat and Livestock Commission (MLC) and the International Meat Secretariat (IMS).
BPEX Chief Executive Mick Sloyan said: “By gathering together such influential people the British pig industry can get a valuable insight into the forces which will shape the future of our increasingly global business.
“Bringing the world pork industry to Great Britain will create a unique opportunity to share and discuss pig issues with world experts.
“We are offering a further discount for block bookings for those companies which would like to bring a group of customers to this valuable business event, taking place in a year when there is no Pig Fair.“
