Pig market begins autumn climb

UK - Pig prices have finally started to improve in the UK as the autumn selling season commences. Spot and contract quotes rose sharply last week (w/e 19 September), with spot bacon abattoirs prepared to bid up to 109p/kg, compared with 96-98p/kg in late July and early August.
