COOL Labeling May Cost $4 Billion For U.S. Food Industry

US - The mandatory country-of-origin labeling law may end up costing the U.S. food industry, including producers, processors and retailers, up to $3.9 billion for the first year of compliance after the USDA implements the legislation in September 2004, a USDA official said.
