Porcine Coronaviruses May Receive Kickback from SARS Research

US - Porcine coronaviruses have attracted renewed interest in the massive international research effort into the virus of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). The genomes of four swine coronaviruses have been added to a new "SARS Bioinformatics Suite" website. They are derived from two strains of Porcine epidemic diarrhea (PED) virus and two strains of Transmissible gastroenteritis (TGE) virus.
