UK Pig herd decline continues

UK - The UK pig herd has suffered another significant decline, according to fresh EC figures. The latest census suggests that the total number of pigs in the UK has fallen by 9.6 per cent to just over five million. More worringly, the number of breeding sows - 577,000 - is the lowest for many years.
