MALAYSIA - A report by OIE on the outbreak of Classical Swine Fever in Malaysia (Peninsular)

(Date of previous outbreak of classical swine fever in Peninsular Malaysia reported to the OIE: August 1999).

Extracts from the monthly reports of Peninsular Malaysia for April and May 2003, received on 24 December 2003 from Dr Hawari Bin Hussein, Director General, Department of Veterinary Service, Ministry of Agriculture, Kuala Lumpur:

Note by the OIE Animal Health Information Department: the monthly reports of Peninsular Malaysia for June, July, August, September, October and November 2003 indicate the absence of any further outbreaks of classical swine fever. To date, no information for December 2003 has been received at the OIE Headquarters.
