Pork groups eye supreme court for ruling

DES MOINES - Leaders of national pork groups say they want to be ready if the U.S. Supreme Courts rules the national pork checkoff is unconstitutional. Leaders of the National Pork Producers Council and the National Pork Board said they may form a single organization to replace both groups if the supreme court finds the pork-promotion assessment violates the U.S. Constitution.
