Philippine D.A. mulls tariff cut on pork imports

PHILIPPINES - Agriculture Secretary Luisito Lorenzo said Friday his office has proposed to bring down the tariff on imported pork from 30 percent to 10 percent. "This is a temporary measure. We are hoping that the tariff cut would only be up to the first week of June. This will compensate for the country's low supply of pork," Lorenzo said in a dzMM interview.
