UK pig industry still in decline

UK - UK pig numbers continue to fall, according to latest figures from the Meat and Livestock Commission Planning and Forecasting Group. Slaughter levels throughout 2003 remained well below the previous year due to a smaller breeding herd and poorer sow productivity.
