CSA pens pig-industry standards

TORONTO - Somehow, Canada has staggered through 136½ years without an environmental management systems standard for hog operations - and many people in rural areas would confirm that it smells that way. Now the Canadian Standards Association has produced what it says is the country's Canada's first standard to provide a voluntary national framework for systems to promote responsible environmental management in the swine sector.
