Hog barns seeking financial protection
CANADA - The Saskatchewan Wheat Pool’s exit of the hog barn business has left a local company in tight spot. Manitou Hog Enterprises, a hog production facility located near Neilburg, Sask., is what is called a ‘farrow-to-finish’ hog operation. It is comprised of a several production-specific barns, through the which the hogs are moved as they grow towards market size.
