Shortage sparks housing search
UK - Pig finishers with spare accommodation - or farmers with empty buildings that would convert to pig housing - are being sought by farmer and meat processor Bowes of Norfolk. Jim Burling of Bowes said a spate of retirements among breeders and finishers and the shifting pattern of production had created a shortage of finishing capacity.
