Friday's spot trading was curate's egg
UK - Some spot sellers achieved a reluctant stand-on today but others saw the price move downwards by 2p-4p, reports Peter Crichton on the Traffic Lights website.

EU prices are moving ahead with most of the big six production countries adding between 2p and 4p a kilo, so the Europe average of 94p is starting to catch up with British quotes. The Euro continues to under perform and is finding it hard to maintain its value above 66p.
Cull sow quotes have moved up yet again due to shrinking numbers available and more competition amongst abattoirs chasing a dwindling supply with 70p achievable and most quotes in the 67p to 69p range.
