Food safety overhaul urged

ONTARIO - Ontario's food safety system needs a major overhaul, including safe-handling warnings on all meat products, a new food inspection agency and regulations on fish, a judicial review has concluded. In a sweeping 559-page report, titled "Farm to Fork: A Strategy for Meat Safety in Ontario", Mr. Justice Roland Haines yesterday made 113 recommendations for improving provincial food safety.
